BIOGRAPHY

In addition to his four races behind the wheel of KBM’s No. 51 Toyota Tundra in 2017, the third-generation driver will compete for a championship in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Gilliland is the son of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver David Gilliland and the grandson of 1997 NASCAR Winston West champion Butch Gilliland.

Career Highlights

2016

  • Became the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion collecting six wins, six poles, 11 top-five and 13 top-10 finishes, making him the youngest champion in the history of any NASCAR national or touring series
  • Also competed in five NASCAR K&N Pro Series East events earning one win, one pole, three top-five and five top-10 finishes
  • Made two starts for Kyle Busch Motorsports in the CARS Super Late Model Tour earning one top 10 and an average finish of 9.0
  • Member of the 2016-2017 NASCAR Next class

2015

  • Claimed his first victory in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West in his series debut at Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway
  • Made history in his ARCA Racing Series debut at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway by becoming the youngest winner in series history (15 years and two days)
  • Competed in eight of 10 events in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour claiming one win, 17 laps led, three top-five, four top-10 finishes and had an average finish of 13.0

2014

  • Won his first Limited Late Model race from the pole position at Ace Speedway (Altamahaw, N.C.)
  • Won his first Late Model race at Southern National Motorsports Park (Kenly, N.C.)
  • Qualified second, led 87 laps and finished runner-up in his only  X-1R Pro Cup Series start
